From the Amish Country, Ohio... this very old yoke (a wooden crosspiece that is fastened over the necks of two animals (ox) and attached to the plow or cart that they are to pull), has been transformed in a sculpture, a unique piece of art.
The yoke is a synonym of hard labor, painful and pitiful way of life. Seated over an industrial pipe structure, the yoke is climbed by a blue man trying to free himself from the servitude. The yoke was found in the beautiful Midwest.
